Connect Periode to your website

You do not need a plugin, a developer or any code to add online booking to your website. Every product you create in Periode gets its own customer link: a web address that opens a ready-made page where your customers pick a time, pay and get a confirmation. To connect Periode to your website, you put that link behind a Book now button or a menu item.

This works with every website builder, including WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and Shopify, and with hand-written HTML. The same link also works in emails, on social media, on your Google Business Profile and as a QR code.

Add booking to your website in three steps

  1. Create the product. For a booking calendar with available times, create a booking product. To sell memberships, gift cards or punch passes, create that kind of product instead.
  2. Copy its customer link. Click the copy icon next to Customer link on the product.
  3. Add a button to your website. Add a button, call it Book now, and paste the customer link as the button’s link.

Customers who click the button land on your booking page, choose a date and time, pay, and receive a confirmation email. The booking shows up in the booking calendar in the Backoffice.

A customer link is the public web address of a product’s customer page. Periode creates one for every product, so there is nothing to set up. A booking product’s link looks like this:

https://minside.periode.no/booking/<merchant id>/<product id>

Every product shows its link as Customer link, with two small icons next to it:

  • The copy icon copies the link, ready to paste into your website editor.
  • The QR code icon shows a QR code for the link, for posters, flyers and signs at your location.

Click Customer link itself to open the page exactly as your customers see it.

The link is built from the product’s id, so it stays the same when you rename the product or change its prices, schedule or capacity. Add it to your website once, and keep adjusting the product in the Backoffice.

Get a booking calendar on your website

There is no separate calendar widget to install. The booking calendar is the customer page of a booking product: when customers open its customer link, they see the available dates and times and the prices, and they book and pay on the same page. To put a booking calendar on your website, create a booking product and link to it.

  1. Go to Booking > Products and create a new booking product. Give it the name customers should see, such as “Sauna session”, and pick the type that fits the offer.
  2. Set up the schedule, duration, capacity and prices. Booking products explains every setting.
  3. Make sure the product is active and its sessions are published, so there are times to book. See Publishing.
  4. Click Customer link to check the calendar as a customer, then copy the link and add it to your website as described below.

If you have several saunas, rooms or activities, put them in a booking group and link to the group instead. Customers then see all of them on one page and pick the one they want.

Add a Book now button to your website

Every website builder has a button you can point at any web address. Add a button, give it a text, and paste the customer link into the button’s link field. Depending on the builder, that field is called link, URL, web address or clickthrough URL.

  • WordPress: add a Buttons block, write the button text, click the link icon in the block toolbar and paste the customer link.
  • Wix: add a Button, click the link icon, choose Web Address and paste the customer link.
  • Squarespace: add a Button block, write the button text and paste the customer link into the link field.
  • Webflow: add a Button, open its link settings and paste the customer link as the URL.
  • Shopify: in the theme editor, add a section with a button, such as Image banner or Rich text, and paste the customer link into the button link field.

Menu names change between versions of each builder. If you cannot find the button, search your builder’s help pages for “add a button with a link”.

Name the button after what the customer gets, such as “Book now”, “Book a sauna”, “Become a member” or “Buy a gift card”. One clear button near the top of your homepage gets more bookings than a link hidden in the text.

Copy-paste HTML button

If your website lets you paste HTML, such as a Custom HTML block in WordPress, Embed code in Wix, a Code block in Squarespace or an Embed element in Webflow, you can use this ready-made button. Replace PASTE-YOUR-CUSTOMER-LINK-HERE with your customer link, and #1d3557 with your own brand colour.

<a
  href="PASTE-YOUR-CUSTOMER-LINK-HERE"
  style="display: inline-block; padding: 14px 28px; background: #1d3557; color: #ffffff; border-radius: 8px; font-weight: 600; text-decoration: none"
>
  Book now
</a>

Most website builders also let you add a menu item that links to an outside web address. Add one called Book or Booking with the customer link, so customers can reach booking from every page of your website.

Sell memberships, gift cards and punch passes on your website

The same works for every product. Give each one its own button with its own customer link:

  • Become a member links to a subscription product, where the customer picks the membership, signs up and sets up recurring payment. See Subscriptions and memberships.
  • Buy a gift card links to a gift card product. See Gift cards.
  • Buy a punch pass links to a punch pass product. See Punch passes.

Open the booking page with choices filled in

You can add a few settings to the end of a booking link to change what the page shows when it opens:

  • ?lang=en opens the booking page in English. Use it on the English version of your website. The other languages are no, de, fr, nl, sv and da.
  • ?code=SUMMER25 fills in a discount code.
  • A date after the product id opens the calendar on that day, for example /booking/<merchant id>/<product id>/2026-12-20.

Combine several settings with &, for example ?lang=en&code=SUMMER25. All the options are listed in Link parameters.

  • Google: add the customer link as the booking or appointment link on your Google Business Profile, so people can book straight from Google Search and Maps.
  • Instagram and Facebook: put the link in your bio, or on a Book now button on your Facebook page.
  • Email and SMS: paste the link into newsletters and messages.
  • Posters and flyers: print the QR code from the QR code icon next to the customer link. For a shorter link that is easier to type, create one under Settings > Short links.

Track bookings that come from your website

If you run ads or use Google Analytics 4 or Meta Pixel on your website, Periode can report completed bookings back to them as conversions. See GA4 and Meta tracking.

Check before you go live

  • Open the button on your website in a private browser window and on a phone.
  • Make a test booking all the way through payment and the confirmation email.
  • The product is active and has published times to book.
  • Your logo and colours look right on the customer page. See Branding.
  • The button text tells the customer what they get.

The full path for a new account is in Open for bookings.

Common questions

Do I need a plugin or a developer?

No. If you can add a button or a link to your website, you can connect it to Periode. There is nothing to install.

Does Periode work with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and Webflow?

Yes. A customer link is an ordinary web address, so it works with every website builder and with any website you can edit.

No. The link stays the same when you change the product’s name, prices, schedule or other settings, so the button on your website keeps working.

Can I show all my saunas or rooms in one calendar?

Yes. Put the booking products in a booking group and link to the group.

I do not have a website. Can I still take bookings?

Yes. The customer pages work on their own. Share the customer link on social media, on your Google Business Profile, in emails and as a QR code.
