Open for bookings
With the Backoffice set up and payments active, you are a few steps from taking bookings: create a product, test it the way a guest would, walk through a normal day with your team and share the link. If you are moving from another booking system, we import your bookings, memberships, punch passes and gift cards for you, and each guest gets one email to claim what they had. See Migrating from another system.
Create your first product
- Open
Booking > Productsand create a new booking product. - Give it a name your guests will recognize, and choose the type that matches the offer: weekly for regular sessions, a recurring event for something like a weekly ritual, or a ticket for a one-off event.
- Set the price, capacity and weekly schedule. The editor has a search box at the top, so type “prices”, “capacity” or “waiver” to jump straight to a setting.
Periode publishes sessions from the schedule automatically, as far ahead as guests are allowed to book. Booking products explains every setting, from cancellation deadlines and member prices to waivers and door codes.
Selling memberships, punch passes or gift cards as well? They are set up in the same way, see Subscriptions and memberships, Punch passes and Gift cards.
Test it as a guest
Open the product’s Customer link on your phone and book a session the way a guest would, paying with a real card. Then check that:
- the confirmation page and the confirmation email look right,
- the booking appears on the guest’s account and in the booking calendar,
- any discount, membership price or gift card you use is applied.
Refund the test booking afterwards from the booking calendar. A test from the Backoffice alone does not show what your guests experience, so always book once as a guest.
Walk through a normal day
Let the people who will run the front desk try the day-to-day routines in Booking > Calendar: add a walk-in booking, check a guest in, move a booking to another time and cancel one with a refund. Booking calendar shows how each of these works.
Share the customer link
Every product has a Customer link, with icons to copy it and to show a QR code. Add it to your website as a Book now button or an embedded calendar, put it in your social media profiles, and print the QR code for your door. Connect Periode to your website shows how, step by step, for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and other website builders.
The link stays the same when you change a product’s name, price, schedule or capacity, so you can keep adjusting in the Backoffice without updating your website. To let guests choose between several saunas on one page, for example every sauna at one location, share a booking group instead.
